George Mason’s endowment is a dedicated and permanent source of funding that maintains the teaching and research mission of the University. Endowed funds established to support the critical work and evolution of University Libraries form a permanent source of funding that connects scholars and learners from many diverse backgrounds with opportunities at George Mason University, now and into the future.
You may contribute to one of the University Libraries established endowed funds in support of students and programs, or establish an endowed fund named in honor or memory of a family member, a beloved professor, or other individual or group.
A new library endowment can be established with at least a minimum of $50,000 contributed over a three-to-five-year period.
Although GMU is a public university, the institution receives less than 15 percent of its operating budget from the Commonwealth of Virginia. Donations are critical to preserving and growing the academic excellence of the university. Donors to University Libraries are true agents of change.
Please contact University Libraries Director of Development, Kendra Brown, to find out how you, too, can become an agent of change. kbrown95@gmu.edu.
